We are pleased to introduce to you now, Dr. Terry Cole
Whittaker:
Q. The Hollywood Sentinel –Bruce Edwin: Dr. Whittaker, I first want to thank you for your time. When I
first read your book “Dare to be Great,” it really
resonated with me. And the fact that you have worked also in the
entertainment industry, and are really the first woman who
has become a success in this field of the law of attraction and
positive thinking, greatly impressed me. How did you really get
started? I’ve read that someone in high school influenced
you, and that some of the Hindu or Vedic thoughts have?
A. Dr. Terry Cole Whittaker: That was much
later. I first got started with basically “Science of
Mind,” religious science, because that made sense to me. I
could understand that.
Q. The Hollywood Sentinel: OK, I’ve read
minimally about that, and I am sure some of our readers have
heard about that, but what does that mean to you in your
interpretation?
A. Terry Cole Whitaker: Well, it’s the
study of how our thinking actually is very important, and our
beliefs, and it is basically teaching metaphysics. And meta means
beyond. So it’s beyond the physical. So it’s really
teaching about how we, as divine beings, as souls, as spiritual
beings, actually are creative tools, and how we do create with
our thoughts, backed by our belief and our faith and our actions,
and it was a very good foundation, because it was also teaching
in a sense, how to manifest, and also in a way, you could call
those mystic powers that people have, and you could take it even
further that there are people that do magic in that kind of
sense, I don’t participate in that too much, because people
can use these powers for good or for evil, that means for right
or for wrong. They can use these creative tools that they have in
a way that benefits everybody, and especially them, or they can
use these tools in a way that hurts others, in order for these
people to gain-but they really don’t gain anything.
Religious Science teaches The Love and The Law. And it teaches
that love is what drives the law, it points the way, and the law
are the creative tools, that I discuss in my newest book,
“Live your Bliss.” And I discuss the seven hermetic
axioms, and these seven, some of them are similar to each other,
but they have slight distinctions, and its actually how material
energy functions, so ‘cause and effect’ is one of
them. So, we are the cause, and the effect is what we are living
with. And so the first hermetic axiom is “All is
mind.” So its teaching that the universe, this material
universe, is created by divine mind, but it’s also created
by our own desires, and our own mind. So that is very, very good,
it helped me, because I had a lot of aspirations, I had a lot of
desires. I really wanted to know God, but there’s a lot of
ways that we start. You know, we start having faith that there is
a higher power. People can see God obviously, but when you start
out you don’t. Just like the wind, you can’t see the
wind, but I can see, as I’m looking out the window now,
there’s a tree blowing in the wind, and I can see the
influence and the affect of the wind. And this began to teach me
some basic things that I do teach in my first book, “What
You Think of Me is None of My Business.”
