Aside from emotional and economic
stability, one of the most important things a person should do,
is to take care of their health. Surveys have shown that some
fast food restaurants target the majority of their locations to
exist in the poorer neighborhoods of a city. Often, the less
educated a person is, the less knowledgeable they are about
nutrition, and therefore the more likely the poor and uneducated
are to be obese.
If you are fortunate enough to live in this great city of Los
Angeles, do your self a favor and go The Farmers Markets if you
have not done so. Let me tell you, food you can get there is
often just as inexpensive as fast food, and it is actually good
for you. If you can not get to a farmers market, try go to your
nearest independent grocer, and buy healthier, organic
food.
Not only is your diet important, but physical exercise is also a
necessity. If you don’t have a work out routine, get one.
Those who work out their body regularly, get stronger, those that
don’t, get weaker. There is no in between. If you smoke,
get some willpower and quit. Why practice a bad habit that brings
the death of you and those around you closer?
Find a career that you love doing. Why spend nearly half of your
life when you are not asleep, doing that which you hate? If you
don’t love your work, quit it, and make money doing that
which you love. You will be much happier, healthier, and thankful
you did. If you love it enough, you can find a way to make it
happen. The only thing that can stop you from achieving any
reasonable thing you want in this life, is your self by thinking
you can’t. Think it, believe it, act on it, and live as if
it is, and it can and shall be so.
Make time for loved ones. Some of the wealthiest people in the
world were once interviewed, on their death beds. When asked what
they wished they had more time for, they did not say ‘more
time for another deal,’ or ‘more time for another
close’ or ‘time for another car’ or ‘time
to make another million.’ No, what they all said, was that
they wished they could have had more time to be with their loved
ones, one on one time with the people they loved. That is what
ultimately matters most, the people in your life you love. Not
another deal or another dollar, but moments shared with ones you
love. That is something that no money in the world can buy or
sell, and what ultimately matters.
The last thing I want to share with you that should matter most
to you, is your spiritual awareness. Look up your average life
expectancy based on your race and gender, look at your age now,
and do the math. After that number of years is over, what do you
believe will happen to you? I know that I keep discussing this
here, but think about it. We don’t last for ever in this body.
Doesn’t that blow your mind? Now, what will happen to you
then? Matter, and energy, which we are all comprised of, can not
be destroyed. Think about that. Can you destroy the energy of an
atom? You can not. Even the process of decay is energy. Awaken
your spirit, and live your life accordingly.
Your purpose should be to live as long, healthy, and happily as
you can, doing work you love, enjoying time with those that you
love, and finding the true essence of your being. If every one
did that, I can assure you, we’d have a much saner, happier
planet. Enjoy the new issue.
