Some music legends never fade. Bruce Springsteen is one of
them. After an amazing career throughout the 80's and 90's as one
of America's most renown roots rockers, breaking out with the
chart topping album BORN IN THE USA, and following up with a slew
of steady hits to come, the Boss, as many call him, came back in
2009 more heavy in the limelight than he has been in years, and
then some.
Winning the category of BEST ORIGINAL SONG, MOTION PICTURE for
THE WRESTLER, for music and lyrics wasn't enough for this rock
icon. He followed up in a few short weeks performing on one of
the most watched television programs in history, next to Mr.
Obama's inauguration, who he was a vocal supporter of, for the
Super Bowl half time show, easily standing up in talent next to
the other legends who have graced this show before him. The
Steelers beat the Cardinals 27 to 23.
Breaking in to his stellar hit BORN TO RUN, one couldn't help but
love this favorite blues rocker of anthems concerning all things
American. Even more respectable last year with this artist was
Springsteen's vocal oppostion to what he and other brave voices
refered to as the shredding of our constituion by a former
administation. It feels like America has a reason to sing again,
and Bruce Springsteen is leading the way, workin' on a
dream.
