Auditions have begun in Los Angeles, California, for horn players, for pop / rock / blues singer Moira Cue's upcoming new album, to be produced by celebrity guitarist David Williams later this year in New York City.
Music legend David Williams, most notable for doing guitar on the two biggest music stars of all time, King of Pop - MICHAEL JACKSON'S Off the Wall and THRILLER records, as well as various work with MADONNA, toured with Jackson and Madonna on both artists world tours.
Williams has also worked with superstars MARIAH CAREY, JESSICA SIMPSON, PHIL COLLINS, STEVIE NICKS, EARTH WIND & FIRE, HERBIE HANCOCK, BRYAN FERRY, DIANA ROSS, and WHITNEY HOUSTON among many more. Williams states, 'I have worked with the best and biggest stars in the world, and MOIRA CUE has that charisma and talent to be the superstar that it takes. I make nothing but hits. And this will be a hit record, guaranteed.'
Moira Cue announces this week that the album will be her original blues songs, with a modern twist. In addition to a successful singing career, Moira Cue is a master painter, having shown at some of New York City's and Chicago's finest galleries. With over 1,000 paintings to her credit, she has wowed the art world with her '1 million kisses,' and an installation of 365 miniature paintings, for her 'Painting a day' series. With works in the collection of celebrity / collector MADONNA among more, Moira Cue's artwork has been compared by critics to her influences of FRIDA KAHLO, GUSTAV KLIMT, and PICASSO.
Influenced musically by jazz legends such as BILLIE HOLIDAY and EARTHA KITT, as well as BJORK and MADONNA, Moira Cue's first full length offering with David Williams is destined for iconic status and greatness in the world of music.
Moira Cue will be doing a rare meet and greet with art collectors, for the opening night gala of the Los Angeles Art Show, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, January 21st, 2009. Dealer or private collection inquiries of her art work should be directed to her management, at 310-226-7176.
