Continuing to emerge as one of Hollywood’s most engaging
talents, Anne Hathaway shot to stardom starring opposite Meryl
Streep in the hit “The Devil Wears Prada.” She
starred in Garry Marshall’s anticipated sequel, “The
Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement.” Starring
opposite Julie Andrews, Hathaway reprised her role as Princess
Mia Thermopolis. Of Hathaway, Marshall says, “The
multi-talented Hathaway is a combination of Julia Roberts, Audrey
Hepburn and Judy Garland.”
As the earlier stars of Hollwood’s so called Golden Era,
who were generally more talented than today’s actors, by
being trained by the studios in all forms of the arts, Ms.
Hathaway exemplifies the Golden Era as an accomplished dancer who
studied at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
Additionally, she is a first soprano and has performed in two
concerts at Carnegie Hall. She also works on stage.
Ms. Hathaway can currently be seen in the Fox hit romantic comedy
“Bride Wars” with Kate Hudson directed by Gary
Winick. Ms. Hathaway just signed on to star in two films; "The
Opposite of Love" for 20th Century Fox, based on the bestselling
debut novel by Julie Buxbaum and the romantic comedy
“Fiance.” Anne Hathaway recently completed production
on the highly anticipated “Alice in Wonderland” with
auteur great Tim Burton (BeetleJuice, Sleepy Hollow, Edward
Scissorhands) directing. She will play the White Queen, and
Johnny Depp, the Mad Hatter. The film will use a combination of
live action and performance-capture technology to tell the
surreal Lewis Carroll story.
In addition to Ms. Hathaway’s many film credits, she
traveled to Cambodia in January 2005 on behalf of the
documentary, “A Moment in the World,” organized by
Angelina Jolie. The project placed roughly twenty five
participants in various locations on a specific day, each
instructed to videotape their surroundings at the same specific,
moment in time.
Ms. Hathaway’s theater credits include, The Lincoln Center
Encore series presentation of “Carnival,” for which
she won the prestigious 57th Annual Clarence Derwent Award;
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s workshop of, “Woman in
White;” and, “Forever Your Child.”
One of Hollywood’s most photogenic beauties, Anne Hathaway
recently signed a deal as the new face of Lancome. Anne Hathaway
will be the force of elegance and sensuality for the new
advertising campaign by the cosmetics giant for their lovely new
fragrance “Magnifique.”
